Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

Corporate Tax Assistant Manager in a top 40 accountancy practice based in London! We are working closely with our client to further expand their increasingly growing corporation tax team who are looking for an assistant manager to manage a portfolio of small-medium sized clients, partnerships, and sole traders.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing your compliance portfolio, assisting both senior managers and directors in managing their work. The role will revolve around compliance work with the scope to be involved in advisory pieces through senior manager level and above. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Undertake and review Company Tax Returns for your portfolio of clients ready for submission to HMRC
  • Preparing and reviewing Income Tax Returns for both sole traders and partnerships
  • Preparing and reviewing Personal Tax Returns
  • Preparing and reviewing CIS returns, PSAs, ERS returns, and P11Ds
  • Monitor junior staff performance and provide essential feedback as well as tend to their necessary training requirements
  • Ensure robust procedures within the firm utilising HMRC guidance and tax legislation
  • Liaising directly with clients to ensure any additional queries are met


Requirements

Candidates will need to be fully CTA qualified, with the ACA/ACCA qualification also proving useful for this role, with a minimum of 2-3 years' of corporate tax experience within an accountancy practice.

Additional requirements include:

  • Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure smooth processes and organisation.
  • Show initiative when dealing with clients
  • Demonstrate the ability to work without supervision
  • Show strong organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met
  • Have knowledge of tax software including AlphaTax, CCH, and pro-audit
  • Communicate efficiently to provide transparency and structure to the team.
