Revenue Controller

A leading, international law firm are recruiting a Revenue Controller to join their team in London on a permanent basis.

This role is likely to be 60% focused on Revenue Control and 40% on bill processing.

Your duties will include;

*Establishing strong working relationships with all partners through regular monthly review meetings, ensuring focus on timely billing and debt collection so that targets and billing timetables can be met
*Ensure regular billing patterns and billing cycles
*Ensure that MFEs and MPs return issued WIP reports and any drafted bills on a timely basis
*Accept responsibility and take ownership of operational issues, finding solutions where appropriate
*Interact with a wide range of contacts at different levels
Provide commercial and legislative advice where appropriate
*Ensure that all processes are carried out accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring they agree with service levels
*Adhere to agreed best practises, policies and processes, adapting to local requirements as necessary
*Provide and co-ordinate detailed input to the accurate valuation of WIP on a periodic basis
*Proactive involvement and co-ordination in the firm's audit
*Undertake monthly reviews of ages WIP balances to identify contingent WIP, write off provisional balances and previously pledged billing but not actioned
*Liaise with the cashier's team in regards to the allocation of receipts, and with the billing team in regards to billing, credit notes and re-issued invoices
*Ensure that draft bills and engrossed invoices are issued in line with the firm's policies and procedures, meeting all legislative regulations
*Send daily billing updates to practice groups in the run up to month ends, keeping them informed of where they are against monthly and year to date budgets

To be successful in this Revenue Controller position, prior experience of working within a law firm environment carrying out the billing process is essential, alongside excellent Microsoft office skills and systems knowledge.
