Partner Reward Accountant

Ambition is working with a prestigious magic cirlce law firm who are looking to recruit a Partner Reward Accountant into their London Finance team.

As the Partner Reward Accountant, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of partner finance related information in the firm budgeting process, including the management accounts and preparation of partner finance and benefit information at the individual partner level.

As the Partner Reward Accountant, your responsibilities will be but are not limited to:

The annual firm partner finance budgeting process, including prior shares, expatriate calculations & cash flow workings.

The provision of information to Group Reporting to complete monthly management accounts, including prior shares and points.

Responsible for the reconciliation of inter-company ledgers and liaising with overseas offices to ensure accurate allocation of all partner related payments, including expatriate accounts.

Preparation and posting of journals to support the UK Tax Consultant, for example partner retirement and tax payment journals.

Providing support to the teams management in ad-hoc project work, such as the development of new partner processes and systems.

Providing support to the other Partnership Accountant, in reporting and forecasting and general ledger responsibilities.

The successful Partner Reward Accountant will be:

A qualified accountant i.e. ACCA/CIMA/ACA

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in providing clear straightforward summaries to partners regarding complex financial data either by email, phone call or face to face.

Enthusiastic, dynamic, pro-active, ambitious, commitment to "getting the job done".

Ability to assimilate large amounts of information and a strong eye for detail.

Able to work effectively using own initiative and as part of a team.

Strong numeracy and IT skills, including knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word and the ability to adapt to using unfamiliar software packages. Particular emphasis is placed on experience of Excel.

Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise, manage processes, critically review and evaluate financial information.
