Legal Cashier

An Accountancy Firm who have created a new legal entity are now looking for a Legal Cashier / Team Administrator who has a good understanding on Solicitors Accounts Rules to join their legal team. Your main responsibility will be to support the legal team and assist with administrative tasks and legal cashiering.

Key responsibilities:

  • Logging / reviewing all client monies, office expenses and disbursements
    Including identifying all monies received in Office & Client accounts
  • Performing client and office bank reconciliations
  • Performing daily banking duties
  • Processing and reconciling disbursements, resolving discrepancies, analysing and resolving issues related to disbursements
  • Reviewing and answering all client account queries
  • Client account payments
  • Monthly billing
  • Administration and file management
  • Enter, maintain and update client details and relevant information on the firm's contact system
  • Maintain all filing and work areas in a tidy and orderly manner
  • Responsible for stationary and equipment maintenance
  • Assist the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice with compliance policies and procedures

Key requirements:

  • Previous experience as within Legal Finance
  • Client cashiering knowledge is a necessity.
  • Extensive and up to date knowledge of SAR
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Capable of taking initiative and developing solutions to any issues encountered, liaising with colleagues as necessary
  • Able to work alone as well as within a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to retain high concentration levels for extended periods of time
  • Conscientious, approachable and enthusiastic
  • Able to build confidence, respect and trust with others quickly
  • Flexible with regard to service to ensure deadlines are consistently met
