One of the largest global business advisors has come to market looking to hire a Director to lead their Healthcare Performance Improvement team in London.
The overall purpose of the role will be for you to lead this team which provides performance improvement, strategy and transformation services primarily to NHS clients, healthcare providers, commissioners and regulators.
This team sits in the wider Healthcare Advisory practice which already has an existing track record of delivering successful mandates for NHS provider clients across:
Deficit diagnostic; governance reviews for performance improvement; PMO design and support; development and delivery of operational and financial grip & control interventions; design and delivery of commissioner cost improvement programmes (QIPP) and system level efficiency programmes, and long-term sustainability of financial and operational performance improvement changes.
As the Director of Performance Improvement, you will take ownership of pitch presentations to prospective clients, direct the completion of formal tenders, assess the risk of certain client engagements and be ultimately responsible for resource planning, profitability of projects and subsequent allocation of work across the team.
You will be the lead for this area and so identifying new project opportunities through business development and marketing initiatives, meeting revenue targets set for the Performance Improvement team and supporting Partners with wider department strategy will all form major parts of your role.
Additional duties will include the upskilling of new and existing staff, recruitment of new talent into the team, support the wider leadership team with new ideas and general management of the department, write articles and present conferences and act as a representative to the firm and department at various industry events.
To be considered for the role as Director of Performance Improvement in Healthcare Advisory, you must be and / or have:
- Degree level qualified
- An exceptional grasp of developments within the healthcare / NHS public sector.
- Be considered a sector expert with high level experience across the delivery of performance improvement, transformation and strategy projects.
- Strong project management and line management skills
- Track record of large and complex consulting sales in the public sector.
- Operate at an executive level and have strong relationships with current NHS Executives.
- An ability to motivate, support and develop teams.
- Highly persuasive and have strong and demonstrable influencing, communication and presentation skills.
