Group Financial Analyst

A leading global law firm is seeking a Group Financial Analyst to join their busy team in London on a permanent basis.

As Group Financial Analyst you will work closely with the Finance Heads and management team to make commercial business decisions. It will require you to prepare high quality financial information, critical evaluation and making recommendations to senior management (Audit committee and the Board). Other duties of the Group Financial Analyst include acting as a trusted advisor on a subject matter, responsible for project deliverables, working independently and taking a leadership role as required to meet business needs.

As the Group Financial Analyst you will also participate in system upgrade projects, including testing, training and documentation. You will be responsible for driving forward and implementing changes and more efficiencies and value added tasks for the wider firm.

There will be work around developing the PMS, review of the management accounts and reporting back to offices and the Finance Heads. Furthermore, you will be assisting with the annual budget process at group level and build complex financial models for business initiatives.

Further duties for the Group Financial Analyst will include advising on their Cognos model, set up of new business units, maintain relationships with global support functions and Finance staff in all offices and work closely with Global Finance to build a strong team.

To be successful in this application you be a qualified accountant (at least 4 years post qualification) with some years spent within industry (preferably within professional services. This Financial Analyst will need to have strong communication skills, key attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and have the ability to make independent objective decisions. A strong analytical mind set is really important and previous experience in a global group function or head office is required.
