Are you a commercial accountant with a background in pricing and analysis within professional services? If so, a unique and exciting opportunity has been created in one of the largest law firms in the world on an initial 6 month FTC basis.
As the Commercial Finance Manager in this established commercial accounts team, you will be working alongside a variety of business streams within the firm to provide support and analysis to help drive productivity, decision making and ultimately, profitability across your key client groups internally.
You will also be working closing with the Business Development & Marketing teams when looking at pitches and proposal and helping to develop fee structure options (pricing, discounts, and commercial terms) to aid winning new work. Additionally, you will be on hand to provide financial modelling to assess the impact and viability of proposed pricing arrangements as well as carrying out post matter financial analysis and associated pricing and business insight to Partners, Pricing and Business Development teams as required.
You will also be working closely with the fee earners to assist in the development of budgets monitoring against actual performance for matters, particularly complex litigation work as well as assist in supporting stakeholders to maximise the value of client relationships (e.g. sales volume, pricing, discounts, annual fee rate increases, etc.)
This is a truly varied role with an equal split between developing pricing structures, as well as overall commercial analysis to help drive the profitability of the firm. This is a senior position, however does not have direct line reports so previous managerial experience is not required.
To be successful in your application you will need to have successfully completed the ACCA/ACA or CIMA and have post qualification experience, within a commercial accounts position from a professional services organisation. It is important that this person understands how to analysis profitability in a time recording environment and be able to provide support in pricing models on this basis.
It will be essential that this individual is able to influence senior stakeholders and have the gravitas and communication style to take on a very business facing role.
