Billing Specialist

A top international law firm are looking to hire a Billings Specialist, to be based in their Head Office in Central London. The role is a 12 Month fixed-term maternity contract and will involve working within the Revenue Control Team, reporting in to the Revenue Control Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their skills and work within a high-performing and driven team.

The responsibilities include:
*Providing a full and comprehensive billings service to the business
*Working closely with the Revenue Controllers, ensuring fee earners time is record in line with the company's policies and ensuring all disbursements are reviewed and billed on a regular basis
*Set and manage standard, client specific and exception billing rates
*Liaising with the Operation, Risk and Compliance/Filing Opening Team to help maintain full and correct client and matter details on the accounting system, as well as proactively resolving and billing information issues and maintaining budgets before delays impact the revenue cycle
*Ensure bills issued maximise WIP capture, efficiently delivered and have been authorised in accordance with the Firm's guidelines and are compliant with the agreed SLA of the clients
* Review interim and final bills and ensure they are compliant with local VAT requirements and adhere to SAR requirements
*Drafting, amending and co-ordinating the submission of electronic invoices to clients via various e-billing systems
*Undertaking any other relevant tasks as specified by the firm
The candidate should also have:
*Experience using Elite Enterprise/Whitehill billing system is an advantage
*Experience in E-billing
*Good understanding of VAT riles, effecting UK and EU billing
*Working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
*Experience of billing in different currencies
*Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
*Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
*The ability to work well within a team
*A high level of attention to detail
*Good time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks
*Good levels of experience using Excel and Word
*Previous legal knowledge/law firm background is preferable
