Transactions Services Assistant Manager - Birmingham

Ambition is working closely with a top 5 accountancy firm in Birmingham to recruit an ambitious and experienced individual for their Corporate Finance team division focusing on transaction services. Responsibilities:

• Perform data analysis, produce charts and graphs, and interpret the data to provide insightful commentary to our clients, focusing on key KPIs and business drivers.
• Provide input to key due diligence analyses, such as quality of earnings, working capital adjustments and net debt items.
• Report writing - produce sections of reports in PowerPoint regarding the financial affairs and prospects of a business.
• Understand and appreciate key commercial aspects of the client's business, its business model, scalability and business risks.
• Develop an understanding of the transaction services risk model and the regulatory framework.
• Prepare and interpret financial models in Microsoft Excel
• Have regular discussions with the client to confirm progress, identify solutions to any hurdles and ensure reasonable expectations are met.

To be successful in this role, you should:

• Demonstrable audit experience gained within a professional services firm.
• Keen interest in the transactions sector.
• Strong communication skills, oral and written, both internally and directly with clients.
• Demonstrable ability to organise self and others, such that you can work on several different assignments at one time.
• Ideally some experience of diligence assignments, but not critical.
• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
