Senior Business Operations Manager

We are delighted to be supporting a leading international law firm in the search for a Senior Business Operations Manager to support the firms largest practice area.

This newly created role will provide strategic and operational support to the head of the practice group and will play a key role in driving performance, implementing initiatives, and enhancing collaboration across offices and functions.

This is a high-impact position designed to strengthen the management across EMEA for the group and will work closely with partners and business services teams to deliver improvements across financial performance, client service, team operations, and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cross-functional projects ensuring timely delivery and measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Finance, People, Business Development, and other teams to implement initiatives that enhance productivity, client engagement, and operational efficiency.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and alternative point of contact for the Head of and broader partner network on agreed projects, liaising with internal stakeholders across the Firm.
  • Organise and manage regular EMEA-wide and London team meetings, including agenda planning, speaker coordination, and presentation materials.
  • Support ad hoc team visits and meetings across EMEA, working with lead partners to ensure alignment and impact.
  • Respond to requests from the Firm's executive committee, providing updates and actions on Monitor and interpret high-level financial trends to support strategic decision-making and growth.
  • Review monthly financial performance across offices, identifying areas of concern and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage section-wide financial forecasts and budgets, including headcount planning and market analysis.
  • Partner with inventory managers to support billing and collections, particularly during year-end revenue drives.
  • Provide financial updates to lead partners and assist with client matter efficiency analysis, including technology and resource leverage.

Experience needed:

  • Proven experience in a senior operational, finance, or practice management role within a law firm.
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with senior leadership.
