Revenue Controller
I am currently partnering with one of my Law Firm clients for the recruitment of a Revenue Management Business Partner on a 12 month fixed term basis.
This is a really exciting time to join the firm as they have recently restructured their Revenue Control function to move away from the day to day Revenue Control cycle and focus more on the Commerial elements of the role. This role also has an element of pricing as you will be working with the Pricing and Commercial insights team to provide Pricing Support and Client Analysis.
Key responsibilities:
- Organizing and holding monthly WIP review meetings with partners to promote instructions for billing and matter maintenance requirements.
- Identifying, evaluating and prioritizing actionable improvements to liberate significant cash from working capital
- Identifying areas for improvement in cash flow optimization and billing forecasting practices. Implementing processes to improve cash management.
- Review billing guides, invoices and credit notes received from fee earners and secretaries for compliance with the firm's policies and local regulation
- Acting as the senior escalation point for partners where revenue management or matter setup issues occur, working closely with SMEs across Revenue Operations.
- Under the guidance of the Pricing and Commercial Insights (PCI) team, provide basic pricing support and client analysis
- Assisting in the annual client rate review process
- Risk management - ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory bodies and EMEA working capital policies
- Assisting Revenue Operations leadership in formulating, maintaining and enforcing working capital policies to drive best practice and risk reduction
- Contributing to the EMEA community of Revenue Business Partners, sharing best practice and providing support as needed
Essential requirements
- Experience working within Revenue Control, particularly within the Legal Sector.
- Finance Business Partnering experience with senior stakeholders. Ability to negotiate and influence, build strong stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
