Outsourcing Manager

Ambition working with a superb top 50 mid-tier accountancy firm who are currently seeking an Outsourcing Manager to join their team in Central London, with some remote working of course. As the team is constantly developing, the position offers excellent opportunity for personal development and career progression.

The Role:

The Outsourcing Manager role will work closely with Partners and Senior Management to run a busy portfolio of a range of clients, with responsibilities including:

  • Plan, coordinate, supervise and review the work undertaken by more junior staff
  • Manage a large portfolio of clients
  • Act as the main point of contact for complex clients
  • Onboarding of new clients
  • Actively promote online accounting solutions
  • Assist other team members with the conversion and set up of both existing and new clients
  • Assist with the transition from monthly/quarterly processing to daily/weekly processing tro deliver 'real time' information to our clients
  • Train staff including, on accounting, VAT, preparation of management accounts and statutory accounts
  • Review statutory accounts and working papers prepared by junior staff
  • Prepare high quality statutory accounts to clients
  • Project based work as and when required
  • Client meetings and billing
  • Assist with fee proposals for potential clients

The Candidate

The successful candidate must be either ACA or ACCA qualified with demonstrable knowledge of managing staff and running a team/department. In addition, candidates will need to be able clearly demonstrate:

  • Technical and personal skills to service the portfolio of clients efficiently and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and be confident, articulate and able to communicate at all levels externally and internally
  • A team player with the ability to prioritise work and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Have strong leadership skills and the ability to influence changes in working practices within the department
  • Train and develop staff to reach their potential
  • Strong UK GAAP knowledge
  • Experience in using Xero and a wide range of software including Caseware
  • Able to easily commute into Central London
