The Marketing Specialist role will work with teams in London and Europe, as part of the superb Marketing & Communications team and is a fantastic opportunity for a data-loving marketer who enjoys using their skills to extract insights from data and practically apply them to solve real challenges.

This Marketing Specialist role requires an analytical thinker with a genuine interest in business development and the role data plays in helping a business achieve its growth objectives.

The Marketing Specialist will design and implement processes and systems to improve data quality, reporting and usage throughout marketing activities. This includes:

  • Advising on the effectiveness of current marketing activities in engaging target audience groups and proactively suggesting potential solutions
  • Developing new dashboards and tools based on needs that you and the team have identified e.g. reporting against campaign KPIs
  • Designing and delivering a program of communications and training to increase stakeholder engagement with the CRM, including creating and improving training materials and formats
  • Being the POC for EAs across the system as they support account teams to maintain data hygiene
  • Managing data compliance against established benchmarks, particularly priority client, alumni and event data
  • Proactively identifying upgrades to processes and systems that support the efficient management of data and improve data quality over time
  • Partnering with campaign and practice area teams to extract insights from data to inform audience engagement, and accurately report the impact of this engagement
  • Supporting the Head of Marketing and Communications with the tracking of spend against budget and volunteering solutions to make this process semi-automated and efficient.



The Marketing Specialist will need the following skills:

  • Translating data into understandable and practical insights that engage stakeholders and articulate the value of data
  • Reading complex data sets and identifying what stories they can tell to solve the challenges at hand Spotting upgrades to systems and processes that will improve efficiencies, troubleshooting system issues, and building solutions quickly to test and learn
  • Understanding the needs of different stakeholder groups and adjusting your approach accordingly,
  • Understanding the challenge of working with a global CRM system and the importance of partnering with system owners to drive changes
  • Managing a variety of projects at one time and keeping various parties accountable for their deliverables
  • Consolidating feedback from key stakeholder groups and distilling it into potential next steps and solutions



The successful candidate will need:

  • Educated to degree standard, ideally in statistics, economics, computer science, or marketing and communications with a focus on data analysis
  • Minimum of three years' experience in market research, business development, marketing and/or data analysis
  • Minimum of two years working with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Hubspot, bespoke systems and mailing tools
  • Highly proficient in Excel e.g. macros and VBA
  • Programming knowledge (SQL, R, C/C++, HTML) is an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to tight deadlines
  • Experience working in a complex, matrixed organisation, and engaging directly with senior stakeholders
  • Experience training users on CRM systems or technical programmes
