Marketing Assistant

A reputable and international law firm, employing approximately 2,000 lawyers in 20 offices worldwide is looking for a new Marketing Assistant! The Marketing Assistant will report to the Senior Marketing & Business Development Manager and will assist the European marketing team by participating in a variety of marketing activities, including production and distribution of client updates; event planning; maintenance of department databases and the firm's suite of marketing materials; and assisting with production of client presentations and other materials. This is a really exciting role for someone looking to develop their career in marketing within an established law firm!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the production and distribution of various legal updates sent to clients, which involves formatting documents for web and email, obtaining appropriate approvals from lawyers and colleagues in other offices, posting to the website and other databases, and creating post-distribution readership reports.
  • Work with the marketing team to plan and execute bespoke in-person and virtual client events.
  • Coordinate with digital marketing team to update website content and execute engaging social media campaigns.
  • Assist in drafting internal announcements, as well as news items for the website and social media platforms, e.g., LinkedIn
  • Coordinate with graphics team to develop and distribute event invitations and sponsorship ads.
  • Generate and format marketing materials as requested by department members (in various offices) such as brochures, department and client presentations, and pitches and proposals.
  • Maintain the firm's CRM system
  • Perform basic research and data collection on clients and contacts, industries, and competitors.
  • Support the marketing department's responsibilities to other firm departments (recruiting, HR, pro bono, etc.) and outside vendors.

About you

  • You will be educated to degree level and have a minimum of one years' experience in a professional environment.
  • You will have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • You will have a general understanding of a legal competitive landscape.
  • You will have strong interpersonal skills as well as strong analytical skills.
