Legal Cashier
My global law firm client is looking for an experience legal cashier to join their London cashiering team on a permanent basis. The role sits in a wider cashiering team of 10 and reports into an experienced cashiering manager.
Day duties of the role:
- Promptly record and allocate funds received into the firm's client general and deposit accounts.
- Process payments from client general and deposit accounts using online banking platforms, ensuring accurate recording in 3E.
- Prepare interest calculations for funds held in the firm's client general account.
- Assist lawyers and PAs in the timely return of client monies, ensuring compliance with Rule 2.5 of the SRA Accounts Rules.
- Prepare bank reconciliations for the firm's office/business accounts.
- Provide cover for the office cashier as required.
Key experience required:
- Several years of experience in legal cashiering, ideally within a law firm environment.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of their area of work, using initiative, sound judgment, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Works collaboratively as part of a team, contributing positively to team goals.
- Enthusiastic and adaptable, performs well under pressure, and embraces change with a willingness to learn and grow.
