Key Account Manager - Birmingham

Ambition are working with one of the leading global law firms to recruit a key account manager into their expanding client relationship division. The role will play a prominent part within the group and will lead on managing the firms public sector relations, within the UK. We are looking to engage individuals who are adept at the soft skill client relationship work and can build long standing relationships both externally with the clients and internally with the partners.

The role is all about key account management some of the duties involved in the role are listed below;

  • Take the lead on identifying cross selling opportunities within the firm, you will also be responsible for strategic information input into new business pitches & renewal procedures working in tandem with the partners to achieve the end goal.
  • Working with the key client relationship partners you will also build the client steering group for the area, advancing the client relationship work being undertaken and making sure the activity is delivered.
  • Be responsible for this sector area, by leading key internal meetings and constantly reviewing the firms positioning and performance within this space, guiding the partners on certain areas of client feedback to ensure a first class service is delivered.
  • Advise the CRP and the wider fee earners on client intelligence matters, keeping them up to speed on the changing dynamics of the sector that are relevant or the client base.

We are ideally looking for someone to have prior client relationship expertise of dealing with the public sector from a corporate standpoint however we would welcome engagement from individuals with client relationship experience from within professional services generally. The role could suit either a current manager or someone stepping into that position for the first time, we could also look at broader business development professionals who might be keen to specialise within this space.
