A prestigious international law firm, renowned for its collaborative culture and global reach, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Internal Communications to lead its internal communications function. About the Role

As the Head of Internal Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the firm's global internal communications strategy. Reporting to the Global Head of Corporate Communications (based in the US), you will work closely with the Chief People Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and other senior leaders to ensure that internal messaging aligns with the firm's strategic priorities and reflects its inclusive, high-performance culture.

You will lead a talented internal communications team spanning the UK and US, fostering a collaborative and agile working environment. Your work will directly impact employee engagement, leadership alignment, and the overall employee experience across the firm's global network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global internal communications strategy aligned with the firm's vision and business goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership board on firmwide communications and engagement.
  • Lead internal communications for major global initiatives, including strategy updates, financial results, and cultural programmes.
  • Oversee internal channels (intranet, newsletters, video, digital signage) and ensure consistent tone of voice and brand alignment.
  • Collaborate with regional and business leaders to deliver locally relevant and impactful communications.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing internal communications team across the UK and US.
  • Partner with IT and other stakeholders to enhance communication tools and analytics for improved engagement.
  • Support crisis communications and other high-profile projects as needed.

What's needed:

  • A seasoned internal communications leader with extensive experience in internal or corporate communications, ideally within a professional services or partnership environment.
  • A proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and navigating complex, matrixed organisations.
  • Experience managing international teams and delivering communications across multiple regions.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and strategic thinking skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for connecting people through clear, engaging communication.
