Financial Reporting Accountant

One of my top law firm clients are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their dynamic finance team in London. Key Responsibilities in this Financial Reporting Accountant role -

• Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure compliance with emerging reporting requirements.
• Assess and enhance internal processes and controls supporting regulatory returns.
• Collaborate with tax teams and local finance managers to meet group and local reporting needs.
• Support finance automation projects and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts under IFRS for group and subsidiary entities.
• Assist with VAT returns in the UK and selected overseas offices.
• Liaise with auditors and local finance teams during audits.
• Contribute to group cost allocation and transfer pricing processes.
• Provide technical accounting support and help define best practices for financial systems.

Person Specification

Essential:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience in preparing statutory financial statements.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret trends and meet deadlines.

Desired:

• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Familiarity with UK tax filing requirements, especially VAT and corporation tax.
