Financial Reporting Accountant
Are you a qualified accountant with a passion for financial reporting and regulatory compliance? One of my top law firm clients are looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their dynamic finance team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a global organisation with a strong presence in major financial and commercial markets.
Key Responsibilities in this Financial Reporting Accountant role -
- Stay up to date with regulatory changes and ensure compliance with emerging reporting requirements.
- Assess and enhance internal processes and controls supporting regulatory returns.
- Collaborate with tax teams and local finance managers to meet group and local reporting needs.
- Support finance automation projects and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts under IFRS for group and subsidiary entities.
- Assist with VAT returns in the UK and selected overseas offices.
- Liaise with auditors and local finance teams during audits.
- Contribute to group cost allocation and transfer pricing processes.
- Provide technical accounting support and help define best practices for financial systems.
Person Specification
Essential:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
- Experience in preparing statutory financial statements.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret trends and meet deadlines.
Desired:
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Familiarity with UK tax filing requirements, especially VAT and corporation tax.
