Communications Manager (FTC)



A leading Global law firm are seeking an experienced Communications Manager on a 12 month contract to start as soon as possible. The role mainly focuses on external communications but will have some elements of internal communications also.

You will be working in a fast paced press office where you will be targeted with raising the profile of the firm as well as practice group and sectors. The successful candidate would be able to prioritise a broad range of projects on a global level with partners and senior stakeholders.

As the successful Communications Manager, you will be involved in:

  • Provide support for ongoing PR work to assist on departments such as Real Estate and Corporate
  • Support on firmwide initiatives and work with the Senior Manager to internal communications which are around diversity, innovation and diversity
  • Helping to develop the communication plans, drive proactive media relations and use content to position the firms partners as the 'goto' experts
  • Working closely with the external PR agencies to review media opportunities and collaborate on PR strategy for the firm
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Communications and BD to manage social media channels
  • Manage team members at the firm and to be the key point of contact for London PR agencies



The ideal background of the Communication Manager would be:

  • Law firm experience required
  • Line management experience required
  • Experience managing law firm public relations and working with an outside agency required
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Experience with media relations - e.g. contacting the London media outlets required
  • Some knowledge of the US market would be e.g. when working on global PR initiatives
