I'm currently working with a leading global law firm dedicated to delivering exceptional client service through innovation and a client-centric approach. Role Overview: As the Chief Commercial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in generating new business opportunities and managing ongoing client relationships in the EMEA region. You will work with all the firms fee-earning service lines to create competitive and comprehensive plans that maximise their relationships and exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Independently explore, identify, and secure business opportunities through referral channels and direct engagements.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities and partnerships to expand the firm's client base.
- Client Relationships:
- Originate new client relationships, create demand, and identify innovative opportunities that generate income.
- Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service delivery.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Cross-Selling:
- Identify gaps and cross-sell service lines where possible.
- Collaborate with service line heads to develop integrated service offerings that meet client needs.
- Promote a culture of cross-selling within the firm to maximise client value.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct continual market reviews to identify potential new service offerings and work with relevant service line heads to implement them.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of market developments.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- Financial Targets:
- Support the achievement of agreed financial forecasts and revenue targets.
- Develop and manage budgets for business development and marketing activities.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development initiatives.
- Collaboration:
- Actively work with BD team members across our office network to maximise BD opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative environment within the team to share knowledge and best practices.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to align business development efforts with the firm's overall strategy.
Requirements:
- Expereince of winning client work to meet targets.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to think innovatively.
- Extensive experience in a B2B related industry.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with key clients who are senior professionals.
- Capable of managing and implementing marketing and BD activity to generate strong results.
