Business Development Manager - Sustainability & ESG

I'm excited to be working on a Brand new Business Development Manager role with a top leading US law firm. Working within their recently rebranded Sustainability and Responsible Business Group, the Business Development Manager will be focused on looking at opportunities where the firm can win work from a corporate governance and compliance perspective, working to understand how regulatory regimes globally are responding to the fast changing ESG agenda and the impact this has on our clients. It's an exciting and growing area for the Firm and they already have a number of Practice and Industry Groups already working with clients on these issues.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Global Sustainability & Responsible Business Heads, currently a partner based in Houston and one based in London, as well as the Senior BD & Marketing Manager for Global Sustainability & Responsible Business, the Senior members of the global BD & Marketing team and the Global Environmental Sustainability team.

As Business Development Manager, duties will include:

• Supporting the development of market-focused initiatives relating to the Sustainability & Responsible Business group, including working closely with recent ESG-focused lateral partners.
• Supporting global directories process and awards submission where Sustainability & Responsible Business is key area of focus.
• Producing fortnightly updates and maintaining BD collateral and managing the Firms sustainability tracker.
• Managing website content relating to the Sustainability & Responsible Business Group
• Providing support and information as needed for global events, with a Sustainability & Responsible Business focus.

What's needed:

• Previous BD experience gained within a law firm or professional services environment with a focus on ESG / Sustainability
• Ability to manage partner relationships
• Strong project management skills
