Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager, you will be an integral member of the Marketing, Business Development and Communications (MBD&C) team. You will report to the Senior BD Manager for L&I and provide BD support to the London L&I practice group and the firm's eDiscovery business. Your role will involve a full spectrum of marketing and BD activities, including pitches, events, directories, campaigns, thought leadership, and other profile-raising activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of proposals and credentials statements for the London practice.
  • Manage logistics and marketing/promotion for client events.
  • Oversee submissions to legal directories such as Chambers and Legal 500.
  • Identify new business development opportunities and formulate strategic approaches.
  • Assist in the management of strategic client relationships and coordinate client targeting efforts.
  • Analyse ROI of external profile-raising opportunities and make recommendations.
  • Conduct BD training for L&I associates and work on their individual BD plans.
  • Ensure internal communication of litigation and eDiscovery events, content, and activities.

  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach with high attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build relationships across teams and at all levels of seniority.
  • Relevant business development, marketing, and/or CRM experience.
  • Politically astute with the ability to anticipate future areas of risk.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, juggle multiple projects, and deliver under pressure.
