As a Business Development Manager you will be supporting key practice groups including Banking, Corporate M&A/Private Equity, and Funds. You'll be part of a well-established global team, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives that drive growth and deepen client relationships. You'll gain exposure to senior partners, contribute to firmwide strategy, and be trusted to lead initiatives that make a real impact. Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with practice and industry groups to develop and implement business development plans that align with firmwide goals.
  • Pitch & Proposal Leadership: Support partners in crafting compelling pitches and RFP responses that win new business and strengthen client relationships.
  • Market Intelligence: Work with research teams to deliver insights on clients, competitors, and industry trends, helping shape Business Development strategy.
  • Marketing & Communications: Create and manage practice descriptions, brochures, experience lists, and other promotional materials across print and digital.
  • Event Management: Plan and execute client-facing events, including panel discussions and networking opportunities, in collaboration with partners and the events team.
  • Directory Submissions: Lead submissions for legal directories and surveys, ensuring the firm's market position is accurately and effectively represented.
  • Client Development: Support initiatives to nurture priority client relationships and identify opportunities for cross-practice collaboration.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior Business Development colleagues, contribute to onboarding, and help foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What's needed:

  • Strong proven Business Development experience gained within a well established law firm
  • Ability to lead and deliver on key strategic initiatives
  • Able to build lasting and trusted relationships with partners and key stakeholders
