Business Development Manager
A leading advisory firm is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. This newly created role is designed to transform their approach to winning new business in the large listed market and major privately held companies, including PE-backed groups.
Job Description: As a Business Development Manager, you will be part of a supportive and growing audit Go to Market team and the national Markets and Clients community. Your role will be crucial in helping partners and directors achieve their ambitious growth targets.
Responsibilities:
- Implement a proactive, structured approach to business development aligned with the firm's Business Development Cycle.
- Introduce a key account management programme to support the growth of the Public Interest (PI) business.
- Champion best practices for CRM system adoption.
- Manage priority PI targets, setting clear relationship and win strategies.
- Monitor and report on KPIs around the business development pipeline.
- Support audit leaders in identifying and pursuing new markets and key targets.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to inform go-to-market plans.
- Assist in developing propositions for the PI market through collaboration with wider assurance, tax, and advisory practices.
- Foster a business development culture within PI through regular communication and coordination.
- Identify and deliver BD/account management training needs.
Requirements:
- Professional services experience.
- Background in marketing, BD, account management, or business development operations.
- Effective stakeholder management at a senior level.
- Interest or knowledge of Audit beneficial but not critical.
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Proactive, can-do attitude with resilience and tenacity.
- Experience with CRM systems and project management.
Location: Flexible, with a national remit requiring travel to various locations
