Business Development Executive

An innovative and highly regarded law firm specialising in patents and trademarks is looking for a talented Business Development Executive to join their team. This firm works with some of the worlds most creative and innovative companies and are specialists in what they do. Additionally, the firm allows everyone to take a three-month sabbatical to explore something they are passionate about! In this exciting role you will be working within the Tech and Engineering practice groups to develop plans and initiatives driving growth within these practices.

Role Details

The BDE will take on a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including:

Research

 Conduct market research and analysis

 Produce background research into trends within different sectors of Tech and Engineering to help aid

fee earners' business development

Project management

 Oversee the implementation of Tech and Engineering's growth projects and plans

 Work closely with fee earners to hit deadlines and keep projects on target

 Further assist the practice group with projects and tasks to drive activity within the practices' group

development plans

Practice group and key account management

 Manage the BD pipelines for the practices and their members

 Work closely with and provide support to the firms San Francisco business development team

 Plan and manage business development trips

 Manage a number of key client accounts

 Monitor and develop client relationships

Communications

 Supporting on internal and client communications and marketing initiatives

 Assisting with the distribution of journalistic, legal/technical content, and other communications by fee

earners to prospects and clients

 Work with the central design and comms team to tailor specific communications and updates

 Running events (virtual and in person) for the practice group, from concept stage through to execution

and excellent follow-up

Pitch support - Managing and supporting the pitch and proposal process

About You

 You will be a university graduate with a good academic record and possess superior communications skills (both written and oral)

 You will be detail oriented and focused on meeting deadlines

 You will work confidently with individuals at all levels of seniority

 You will be data driven and with a passion for research, analysis and numbers
