Ambition is proud to be supporting a leading accountancy firm in London in their search for an experienced Audit Senior/Audit Assistant Manager to join their Large and Listed team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified auditor to take ownership of high-profile engagements across a diverse client base, including listed entities and complex group structures.

Key Responsibilities
Audit
- Prepare comprehensive audit planning documents, identifying potential challenges and tailoring audit procedures accordingly.
- Delegate work to junior team members and provide clear guidance and support throughout the engagement.
- Lead audits from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and internal methodologies.
- Monitor job progress, manage budgets, and resolve issues to ensure timely delivery.
- Review and supervise work completed by junior staff, both on-site and remotely.
- Finalise audit files, including documentation, analytical reviews, and client communications.
- Draft client correspondence and contribute to audit committee reporting.
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide technical coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues.
- Deliver feedback and identify development needs through structured review processes.
- Support the growth of team capability through knowledge sharing and on-the-job training.
Professional Judgement
- Make informed decisions on audit testing, disclosures, and resource allocation.
- Apply critical thinking to resolve complex audit issues and ensure quality outcomes.
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified, with a minimum of 3 years' audit experience in an accountancy firm.
- Strong planning and completion skills, with a track record of managing audits independently.
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff.
- Up-to-date technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and audit regulations.
- Right to work in the UK as sponsorship cannot be provided for this role.
