Assistant Manager - Transaction Services - Up to £70k

Ambition is working closely with an accountancy practice who focus on creating trusted and enjoyable working relationships with both clients and contacts. The role will involve mentoring and developing Executives within the Corporate Finance team; reviewing their work and providing feedback and guidance as they assist on M&A transactions.
This position is ideally suited for someone with some TS experience who wants to accelerate their career by developing themselves whilst assisting with growing the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Partner, Directors and Senior Managers of the team with delivery of buy-side advisory services and the preparation of financial due diligence reports.
• Plan and carry out Transaction Services assignments to the degree agreed with the respective Manager/Partner and keep them informed of the progress on the team's jobs.
• Brief, supervise and review the work of junior members of the team where appropriate, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary, including preparation of formal review forms.
• Effectively manage your time and costs, to keep within budget and to report to the Manager or Partner as soon as it appears that the agreed time budget will be compromised.

Experience

• Degree educated (or equivalent)
• ACA qualified (or equivalent)
• Working knowledge of Transactions Services in an Accounting Firm or Corporate Finance Boutique
• Performed financial due diligence assignments
