Corporate Tax Manager

Corporate Tax Manager in a top 50 Accountancy Practice based in Watford! We are working closely with our client to further expand their increasingly growing corporation tax team who are looking for a Manager to manage a portfolio of clients typically OMBs and build relationship with them. This role will involve working on advisory projects on more complex tax matters.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will be responsible for building relationships with clients and understanding how to tackle tax issues related to their needs. You will report directly to the Tax Principal. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Preparation of Corporate Tax Returns and managing enquiries
  • Assisting junior staff as well as principals
  • Involvement in tax planning and advisory projects on complex areas of tax such as incorporations, IT/CGT planning, reconstructions and demergers, share schemes and EIS/SEIS
  • Involvement in junior staff appraisals
  • Fee negotiations with clients
  • Contributing to the general management of the corporate tax team attending internal meetings across offices

Requirements

Candidates will need to be fully CTA qualified, with corporate tax experience within an accountancy practice.

Additional requirements include:

  • Ability to manage a portfolio of OMB clients ensuring compliance is upheld and identifying any tax-issues which may arise
  • Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure smooth processes and organisation
  • Ability to build great relationships with a personable attitude
  • Strong IT skills and technical ability
