Senior Partnership Accountant

An international law firm is looking to recruit a Senior Partnership Accountant to join their offices. Working in a small team of 4, you will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of profit, tax reserves, payments and capital on a partner by partner basis for 200+ partners and retired partners across multi-jurisdictions and multi- currencies.

You will be joining an international law firm with over 1200 lawyers in 28 offices across Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

As the Senior Partnership Accountant you will be required to:
*Control the distribution cycle for all partners.
*To ensure that the general ledger entries for all partners are recorded correctly and in line with their financial arrangements.
*To be the centre of knowledge on all aspects of the financial arrangements for partners in 3 to 4 countries and be familiar with the financial arrangements for partners in some other countries.
*To review the key financial models used by the Partnership Accounts Team with the view to applying changes.
*Preparation of annual partner statements.
*Work with Partner HR on the financial terms of both lateral hire and retiring partners.
*Work with Corporate Development on partner related issues as required.
*Work with Director of HR as required.
*Ensure that all year end journals for profit allocation, tax and capital build are posted correctly.
*Review of current working processes and procedures with the Head of Partnership Accounts.

To be successful in this role it is preferred you have education to degree level. Also, ideally a qualified accountant or working towards a professional qualification. You will need to be an excellent communicator, be motivated to learn new skills and develop on your own.

You will need to remain calm when under pressure, and have a practical, common sense approach.
