Revenue Controller
An international, leading top 30 law firm are looking to recruit a Revenue and Credit Controller to join their London team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
As the Revenue and Credit Controller you will be working part of a busy revenue and credit control team within the finance department. Your responsibilities will include:
Revenue Control:
- Regularly review aged WIP and meeting with designated partners ensuring it is effectively managed and department budgets are met
- Work with department heads to gather accurate monthly billing forecasts
- Be the first point of contact for one of the firms four business divisions
- Produce reports and analysis of billable time when required to from clients
- Review and update WIP provision monthly
- Assist in preparing spreadsheets for the valuation of WIP I accordance with FRS5
- Identify and chase missing timesheets
- Ensure that temporary time entries are resolved and charged to the appropriate file
- Ensure that edits and time transfers are properly authorised and accurately processed
Bill Processing:
- Produce all bills submitted for processing, ensuring that they comply with all relevant VAT and Solicitor Account Rules and that they are sent out promptly
- Ensuring the accurate processing of all write offs of unbillable time and disbursements and that all such requests are properly authorised in accordance with the firm's authorisation limits as they might apply from time to time
- Prepare full and partial credit notes
Credit Control:
- Take responsibility for outstanding debts of assigned business division
- Chase clients to ensure invoices are settled promptly
- Keep in contact with Partners and Fee Earners to ensure they are following up on queries
- Identify potential problem debts to the Head of Revenue and Credit Control
- Produce statements and chase letters
- Review and update bad debt provision monthly
For this role, the firm require you to have revenue and credit control experience within a law firm. Strong communication skills will be important, as well as knowledge of CMS/ Aderant or Elite.
