One of the leading advisory consultancies in the UK is looking to bolster up their restructuring team by hiring an experienced Manager to take the lead on engagements that involve assessing business risks and subsequently advising banks on the financial state of a distressed business.
Having a solid understanding of business strategy and the warning signs associated with underperformance and turnaround will be key as will the ability to formulate written reports on behalf of the bank. Knowledge of various insolvency processes would naturally be helpful but not as essential as the review and advisory aspect to turnaround and restructure strategy.
Restructuring Manager's in this team do actively participate in marketing efforts by attending events and putting together draft proposals and pitch material for new work and so hiring commercial individuals with the ability to network will be just as important as acquiring the technical skills and hands-on project experience.
In addition, you will supervise Executives and Associates on each individual project and you will be responsible for running their appraisals, carrying out job reviews and upskill staff on technical development.
The team are considered one of the strongest in the market based on the complexity of the work, the reputation of the Partners and the prestige of the clients referring restructuring projects to the firm. The department does have high expectations based on the first class service that they provide and so someone that takes pride in their work and who respects the reputation of the firm will always do well in this team.
Progression is one of the main attractions to this role as there is a clear path to Associate Director in the short-medium term and those with ambition will be nurtured through. A large crop of the existing Partner group has been nurtured through the ranks and this is something the firm actively promotes and encourages.
