M&A Manager - Special Situations

Ambition are recruiting for a bespoke role with a global consultancy - who are growing one of their key areas within Mergers & Acquisitions, specifically Special Situations.

The organisation is busy and have scope to introduce a Manager into this Special Situations team. The focus is around delivering turnaround and solvent solutions to challenging and distressed situations - moreso around Sell-side. You will be afforded a great opportunity to venture into consulting and Corporate Finance assignments.

It will be standard for you to be working on high profile accelerated sales, so your daily duties would include:

• Ensuring that projects are run effectively and profitably, including time management, delivery on deadlines and budget management.
• Presenting the available financials as best as possible, taking the lead in drafting and finalising deliverables.
• Liaise with client to analyse and understand their financial information to clarify risks and opportunities.

You need to be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) based on the nature of the role. The role would suit someone who has more of a Lead Advisory background, ideally with a distressed element. Alternatively, having an advisory background within Restructuring will be equally desirable for the role. Someone who has got good experience within high profile restructuring /turnaround assignments i.e. Administrations or Company Voluntary Arrangements (CVAs) may find this a welcome opportunity. There will be some travel involved as you would be required to be on site.
