Financial Operations Assistant

Finance Assistant to join our team on a twelve month fixed-term contract. The Financial Operations Assistant will work closely with the Financial Operations Coordinator and the Legal Cashier to ensure office receipts and transactions are posted correctly and in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities:

  • Posting London accounts payable invoices on to the system in a timely manner, ensuring that they are coded and authorised correctly
  • Preparing BACS supplier payment runs and priority payments as required
  • Assisting with the daily monitoring of London bank account balances to ensure funds are available when needed and corresponding directly with the bank about general queries
  • Processing invoices on a regular basis to help with the upkeep of departmental budgets
  • Assisting with the set-up, maintenance and archiving of filed records of invoices and VAT receipts, ensuring copies can be retrieved easily
  • Assisting with bank account reconciliations for EMEA, liaising with office managers and finance colleagues across EMEA to resolve queries
  • Posting credit and vendor payments to the system, managing payment runs and scanning backup documentation for EMEA offices

  • The ability to prioritise and coordinate work
  • Able to manage multiple projects effectively and demonstrate a methodical and thorough working style with a strong focus on detail and the completion of tasks
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people at different levels across the organisation
  • The ability to work productively and cooperatively with other employees in London and across EMEA
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook is essential
  • Knowledge of Elite, Word and PowerPoint is desirable
  • The ability to maintain confidential information
