Financial Modelling Executive
Following continual expansion to the financial modelling team, our client is seeking to hire a newly qualified ACA Executive into their London office.
The firm are one of the largest accountancy firms globally and their Financial Modelling team is considered as one of the best in London. The team supply financial modelling services to clients across the whole umbrella of Advisory services, from corporate finance deals to operational change to restructuring and insolvency. They build, review and amend models across all sectors with most models executed in Microsoft Excel and so you must have good Excel skills to be considered for a role at this firm.
Executives in the team will be primarily responsible for delivering the work product, working closely with clients and other Advisory teams to build, maintain and interpret financial models. You will work closely alongside experienced modellers to help you build out your skills, and you will also take a part in marketing initiatives internal and externally.
In this role, you will be tasked with developing financial models and other tools for clients, you will review financial models built by clients and their advisers and use and adapt certain models in order to perform sensitivity and scenario analysis for deals and restructuring.
There will be a fair amount of client interaction in this role based on the expectations the team have of their Executives and so you will be able to build and develop relationships with clients and gets to really understand their requirements in full.
Based on the high standard that this team operates at, they do have very high expectations of those interested in joining the team. Therefore, to be considered, you must have:
- Very strong academics (A grade in A-Level Mathematics and a 2:1 or 1st class degree from a top university).
- First time passes in ACA
- Audit route as a preference with ACA qualifying in Aug/Sept 2016 latest.
- Any exposure to financial modelling work would be preferred.
This is a role that will suit very bright and commercial auditors seeking their first move into a financial modelling position. The team is headed up by a very well regarded specialist in financial models and this role will give you the chance to work under his guidance.
