Financial Accountant

Ambition is representing a top tier boutique litigation practice who are currently looking for a driven Financial Accountant with an excellent academic background, to join their FP&A division. As a Financial Accountant, you will be working in a friendly and progressive finance team with exposure to a wide range of internal projects including system implementations. The Financial Accountant role is based in their stunning London office, working alongside some of the world's most prestigious lawyers and accountants. This leading firm is committed to support their employees by providing a competitive benefits package and the potential to progress into a Financial Controller position.

As the Financial Accountant some of your responsibilities include:

• Supporting and deputising for the Financial Controller as required
• Assisting in the preparation of the statutory accounts
• Assisting the Financial Controller with all aspects of Client Money accounting
• Involved in monthly Management Accounts processes
• Preparing regular cost reporting and analysis, providing insight and observations
• Providing support to Aderant users
• Supporting and advising Partners in relation to Pricing and Budgeting for matters
• Providing input into the production of the rolling weekly cashflow reports
• Preparation of the annual costs budgets and reforecasts
• Involved in projects as and when required

To be successful in this Financial Accountant position, some of the requirements include:

• Qualified accountant, ideally with significant years of experience gained in a finance team (preferably within a law firm)
• A strong academic record from a top-tier university
• Experience of Aderant systems and reporting would be advantageous
• Brilliant Communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment
