Financial Accountant

A legal firm are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their offices in London.

There will a combination of external reporting, internal reporting, partner matters and tax related workload.

As the Financial Accountant you will be preparing statutory accounts, consolidation workings, managing auditor relationships and partnership tax computation and schedules. You will be doing the external bank reporting and quarterly management accounts too.

Other duties will involve reviewing internal management accounts, variance analysis and updating budget holders. You will support the schedules and reconciliations and prepare lease schedules, manage fee earner targets and bonuses alongside the budgeting and forecasting process.

Your role will also engage you partner matters such as assisting with member accounts, reconciling stat accounts and doing the tax reserves. You will be responsible for partner services, including drawings calculation and payroll input and reviewing the partners' capital, new and repayments. There will be some commission calculations work and liaison with the partners in relation to their tax and Partner Inductions.

For this role you will need to be ACA or ACCA qualified with some income tax experience. Corporate tax experience will be helpful but not essential.

Strong communication skills both written and verbal are essential.
