Finance System Analyst

Ambition is representing an award-winning international law firm who are currently looking for an experienced Finance Systems Analyst to join their supportive and busy Finance department. As a Finance Systems Analyst, you will be assisting the firm following an implementation of a new PMS. in. The Finance Systems Analyst role is based in their stunning London office with a short walk from easily accessible stations and an onsite canteen.

As the Finance Systems Analyst some of your responsibilities include:

• Take a key role in the support and management of the PMS system
• Work closely with the existing Finance Systems Team and the IT department
• Work effectively with counterparts at their suppliers, particularly the PMS supplier
• Continuing systems maintenance and support responsibilities
• Support the maintenance and development of the firm's financial systems
• Work closely with colleagues across the firm to scope, design and implement enhancements to new and existing systems
• Establish good working relationships with key suppliers to aid in the ongoing development of their finance systems
• Partake in projects geared to utilising and enhancing the existing finance system functionality to continuously improve the delivery of the service provided by the department
• Assist with the training and embedding of financial systems across the firm
• Assist with development of their reporting and management information, including the utilisation of their dashboard reporting system
• Assist with period end system and database management, ensuring that the period end procedures are managed effectively
• Work with cross departmental project teams on various firm wide projects as and when required

To be successful in this Finance Systems Analyst position, some of the requirements include:

• Experience working in a Finance team within a legal environment
• Confident in carrying out system maintenance within a PMS
• Experience of the Aderant PMS is desirable but not essential
• Experience of being part of a major system implementation project desirable
• A good team player but with the ability to work autonomously
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure

The team is currently undergoing a number of exciting changes, they have just completed the implementation of a new Practice Management Solution, and this has presented new opportunities.
