Finance Manager

A US Law firm with a rich history spanning five decades is looking for a Finance Manager to join their London office on a permanent basis. The firm has recently won a number of fantastic accolades including being named the most charitable US law firm. As the firms Finance manager you would be in charge of the day to day finance function in the London office and working closely with the firm-wide accounting team.

As the Finance manager for this leading law firm you would:

  • Oversee the day-to-day finance function
  • Managing and mentor the team
  • Monitor SRA breaches and maintain a breach register
  • Prepare Annual Accounts for the London office
  • Be responsible for the UK annual tax return
  • Be responsible for the SRA audit
  • Prepare and managing VAT submissions
  • Prepare and managing PSA and P11D submissions
  • Leading and managing the semiannual collection drives for the London office, to maximise collections in line with the office target
  • Prepare regular cashflow forecasts for submission to the Firm finance team
  • Preparing Monthly management reports and balance sheet reconciliations

The ideal finance manager would have:

  • Relevant qualifications i.e ACA, CIMA, CA or equivalent
  • Prior international law firm experience or experience in an international professional services firm
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Previous management experience
  • Ability to anticipate work needs; proactive in identifying accounting issues and providing solutions
  • Superior communications skills (oral and written) is a must
