Commercial Finance Director

An exciting Commercial Finance Director opportunity has arisen in a Top Law firm, leading a team of commercial finance managers across five main practice groups, leading a global team of 50 across a range of disciplines from working capital management and business performance to profitability, strategic decisions and investments.

As the Commercial Finance Director, you are responsible for all aspects of the firm's commercial performance. You will lead a well-respected team to support the senior leadership team and the wider partners group, driving improvements in all aspects of commercial performance, whether on pricing, leverage, working capital, etc., through to business cases for strategic lateral hires and acquisitions in support of our strategic ambitions.

In this role, you will be accountable for supporting the Senior Leadership team on all aspects of in-year commercial performance, preparation of and evaluation of strategic investments/acquisitions, the annual budget, and for driving the financial three-year strategic plan. With a concentration of people in London and additional offices in the UK, Middle East, Asia and other European locations.

For this role, they are looking for someone with a strong background in professional services, who is able to establish strong internal relationships across the business, particularly with very senior stakeholders across the firm who can demonstrate evidence of influencing stakeholders. Someone who has a commercially focused approach and is well recognised as a leader in their field and be able to motivate teams and demand high standards to drive performance.
