Tax & Partner Accounting/Manager

Ambition are representing a leading Law Firm exclusively, who are looking for a Tax & Partnership expert. You will be joining this fantastic new role during an exciting period, as the firm have recently merged. As a Tax & Partnership Accounting/Manager, you will be responsible for management of all partner related accounting and tax issues, VAT, PAYE, you will also be the go to person at the firm for Tax related advice. If the individual was keen to take up management, then the opportunity to manage one other person within the team is also available. The firm offers a high degree of flexibility to support a healthy work life balance.

As the Tax & Partnership Accounting/Manager some of your responsibilities include

• Partnership and corporation tax compliance

• Preparing individual tax returns and managing the entire cycle

• Ensure that the firm is operating as tax efficiently as possible.

• Produce and maintain all relevant tax and related accounting policy documentation

• Preparing tax treaty forms for overseas clients

• Produce partners annual account statements

• Day to day management of partner drawings and distribution payments

• Prepare complex profit share models and conduct sensitivity analysis

• Maintaining the integrity of the nominal ledger data

• Answering Ad hoc VAT queries, negotiate HMRC concessions and providing assistance to the Payroll function

To be successful in this Tax & Partnership Accounting/Manager position, some of the requirements include:

• Experience within Tax in the Legal sector or wider professional services

• Good knowledge across UK business tax, VAT, employment tax and personal tax

• Ability to work closely with members of staff across the business

• Good knowledge of Excel and double entry bookkeeping skills

The firm has offices around the UK, with occasional travel to their regional offices when needed for specific work, but any expenses would be covered by the firm.
