Special Situations M&A Associate Director / Director

Ambition has partnered with one of the UK's largest and leading independent business advisory consultancies to help identify talent for the firm's national Corporate Finance team.

A large portion of the live transactions are special situation M&A processes and therefore there is a need to recruit an experienced corporate financier with a track record of leading on accelerated M&A / special situation M&A deals.

The team has a strong reputation for delivering on restructuring and company turnaround engagements and so the corporate finance team are supporting heavily with sell-side M&A transactions of financially distressed corporates. In the past three months, the team has successfully completed on the sale of many sizeable retailers, restaurant chains and aviation businesses with some transactions completing in under six weeks.

As an Associate Director / Director in the team, you will be expected to lead on the high profile accelerated sale process and be the main point of contact with the client throughout the transaction.

You need to be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) and have a lead advisory deals background as opposed to having worked mostly in FDD. You will need to have a track record of working on special situation M&A processes as opposed to working on non-distressed M&A transactions.
