Senior Tax Advisor - Charities & Social Enterprise

Working for a Corp B graded law firm where culture and staff well being is at the forefront, we have an opportunity for a senior tax practitioner with a lot of experience working with charities and social enterprise to join an amazing law firm in taking up the role of leading the charity and social enterprise tax practice, supported by the firm's Partners.

You will be provided with a high degree of client interaction and will be heavily involved in the day-to-day management of tax advice, whilst supervising junior team members.

The role:-

Working collaboratively with partners, other lawyers, and at times external advisers, you will be:

• advising charities, social enterprises, not for profit organisations and impact investors on a range of tax issues arising in advisory and transactional matters,
• working on innovative and technical pieces of work,
• participate in, and eventually lead, the internal tax knowledge sharing groups,
• work with the team of knowledge lawyers to keep tax resources up to date and deliver internal training.

Key experience:-

You will:

• ATT / CTA qualified tax adviser, or accountant, with at least 7 years' PQE in tax (candidates who do not hold any qualifications but have an abundance technical expertise and skills will also be considered);
• have significant experience in advising charities and social enterprises on tax issues;
• be committed to a long term career in charity and social enterprise tax, using your expertise and skills to have a positive impact;
• excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills; and have
• strong attention to detail and analytical skills, including the ability to take a proportionate and commercial approach.
