Business Development Manager - Financial Services (London)

A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join its central BD function, supporting the Financial Services sector, which accounts for a significant portion of the firm's revenue and has ambitious international growth plans.

Role Overview:
The BDM will work closely with sector leadership to implement strategic business development initiatives, strengthen client relationships, and drive revenue growth. Managing two sub-sectors within Financial Services, the role involves creating and executing BD plans, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and leading bid strategies for major sector opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic BD plans aligned with sector growth objectives.
  • Manage key client relationships and deliver clear plans for growth.
  • Identify market opportunities and champion thought leadership initiatives.
  • Lead bid strategies for major FS opportunities and support sector-led bids.
  • Provide research, reporting, and insights to inform business planning.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven BD and client relationship management experience in professional services.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of the financial services sector is desirable; curiosity and willingness to learn are essential.
