Senior Business Development Manager - ESG/Sustainability

We are delighted to be working on a unique senior business development management role centring on the topic of ESG and sustainability. This role will have a strong leadership role within the firm and will work closely with senior partners from across the business on a global basis.

Alongside working with the partnership you will work primarily on making ESG/Sustainability front and centre of the firms go to market strategy across a multitude of markets. You will need to show adaptability in order to position the topic as a firm wide topic but also tailor it to specific sectors. Once you have contributed to the development of the strategy you will work with the firms existing marketing teams on how they can implement it within their sectors.

You will also have support from an existing Marketing Manager who will report into this position.

As there are not many positions like this on the market, we would like to engage current senior business development managers and BDM's who have a strong passion for this subject matter, one which will be a core component of the firm going forwards. If you have been involved in broader ESG subject matters in your current role then that would be advantageous but not essential.

Core aspects of the role will include;

  • Work with the board and senior partnership to take an active lead in client relationship matters, working across a diverse range of clients and sectors. This will include how to position the firm within existing clients and also in target markets to increase the firms reputation and profile.
  • Advise on ideas and projects to the firm that will result in an increase brand profile of the firm as subject matter experts on ESG, coming up with innovative campaign initiatives and advising the board on corporate partnerships.
  • Oversee from a strategic standpoint the pitch process for ESG opportunities, these will often be cross border bids that require a bespoke process and document.
  • Help coach the partners and fee earners on how to approach the subject matter externally with existing and potential clients of the firms. Giving them the tools to position the firm effectively within the market.

We believe this is a hugely exciting newly created role with a subject matter which is at the forefront of most firms business agenda.
