Senior Business Development Manager (12-month FTC)

Location: London
Reporting to: Business Development Director

A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join its London team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This senior role provides strategic and day-to-day marketing and business development support to market-leading Finance, Restructuring, and Structured Finance practices, recognized for their expertise in complex, high-profile transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic BD planning and cross-jurisdictional initiatives, collaborating with partners across Europe and the US.
  • Manage pitches, proposals, and RFPs, delivering high-quality marketing materials.
  • Oversee directory and award submissions to raise market profile.
  • Maintain BD infrastructure, including deal reporting and credentials.
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives, PR, and social media strategies.
  • Coordinate client engagement activities and events.

Skills & Experience

  • Significant BD/Marketing experience at manager level in professional services (legal sector preferred).
  • Strong commercial awareness of finance and restructuring.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; familiarity with LinkedIn and finance-specific databases.
  • Line management experience and a proactive, hands-on approach.
