Senior Bid Manager

A leading UK property consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Bid Manager to join the business on a 12‑month maternity contract, starting in March. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves both the strategy and delivery of high‑quality bids and is confident working closely with partners, directors and senior stakeholders.

Working across a variety of sectors in both the public and private markets, you'll take ownership of the end‑to‑end bid process, overseeing submissions, managing a small team, and ensuring the firm consistently delivers compelling, client‑focused proposals.


The Role

You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of tenders, pitches and major opportunities, including:

  • Leading and coordinating bids, ensuring all deliverables are completed to a high standard and within deadlines
  • Managing and developing two Bid Executives
  • Working closely with Partners and senior stakeholders to craft strong, engaging responses
  • Reviewing and refining content for quality, accuracy and impact
  • Using existing collateral to support efficient bid production
  • Overseeing go/no‑go decisions, assessments and tender evaluations
  • Driving best practice across the bids function
  • Supporting pitch rehearsals and providing guidance on presentation delivery
  • Tracking bid data, analysing performance and identifying areas of improvement
  • Managing internal governance and sign‑off procedures
  • Maintaining a pipeline of upcoming opportunities and monitoring tender portals

About You

  • A strong track record of managing and winning bids across both public and private sector clients
  • Experience leading complex, multi‑disciplinary submissions
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong project management capability and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • The confidence to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted relationships
  • A creative approach when shaping responses or communicating messaging
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members
  • Confidence with core software such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • A proactive, organised and collaborative approach
