Ambition is partnering with a well-regarded, independent accountancy firm in East London who are currently seeking a Semi-Senior / Part Qualified accountant to join their team.
The Firm
The firm is an independent firm established over 25 years ago has thrived by building on a foundation of providing a high-quality service and genuine care to their clientele. The firm provides a full suite of accountancy services and has grown through word of mouth and networking in niche circles. Offices are in East London easily accessible by public transport and car for those people commuting from Essex, Herts, and North London. Full safety measures are in place as well as having the ability to work remotely.
The Role
As a general practice Semi-Senior / Part Qualified accountant, you will be responsible for working on your own portfolio of clients in a varied role touching on all aspects of the services provided but the firm. The role works closely with Seniors and Partners and provides career development and progression.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Direct interaction with clients on their accounts
Prepare Year End accounts
Corporation Tax computations
Personal Tax preparations including Capital Gains
VAT returns
Bookkeeping
Payroll
There will be occasions when you may be asked to work alongside Seniors on some ad hoc duties, all of which will complement ACA/ACCA studies to aid career progression
The Candidate:
To be considered for the Semi-Senior / Part Qualified accountant role, candidates will need to have started studying toward either AAT/ACCA/ACA and will have practical working knowledge within a chartered accountancy firm and in a varied role. Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they are a self-starter with a positive attitude.
Requirements include:
Commenced and part way through formal accountancy qualifications
Evidence of having worked within a practice environment
Use of practice software such as TaxCalc, Xero, QuickBooks
Able to commute easily to East London, Essex.
