Revenue Manager

Revenue Manager position now available at UK law firm working directly with the firm Finance Director with a team of 12 people in the revenue department.

As the Revenue Manager you will be integral member of the finance management team and acts as a business partner to the firm's partners and fee earners with the principle objective of optimising revenue and speed of cash collection.

Specific duties include:

  • Identify and develop solutions for service enhancements to reduce lockup days; set targets to achieve this
  • Play a leading role in the wider management team for finance; participate in setting the strategy for the function, operational decision making and influencing discussions
  • Meet regularly with the managing partner to provide insights and analysis on working capital management.
  • Provide strong leadership and have full responsibility for development and performance of the finance revenue team. Ensure targets for lockup day reductions are devolved to the team
  • Prepare monthly billing and collections forecasts and ensure the firm meets these targets
  • Responsible for all activities related to WIP management, client billing and collections; agree metrics to balance workload across the team and to demonstrate process effectiveness
  • Ensure the finance revenue team are meeting and participating in wider finance department objectives, initiatives and upholding best practice.
  • Maintain good relationships with partners, especially practice area heads; ensure each practice area is well supported by a dedicated member from the finance revenue team.
  • Agree enhanced internal processes to support any complex billing needs for our top clients
  • Develop relationships with client partners (internally) and clients' finance professionals (externally) to ensure speedier processing of bills and collection of money from our Top 30 clients.

To be successful in your application you will need…

  • Experience working in a 360 Revenue role covering Revenue, Credit & Billing in a law firm or wider professional services firm.
  • Be driven to improve processes/ efficiencies through system improvement, work flow analysis and team management.
  • Be able to build good relationships with people at all level, especially at the senior level / with the managing partner/ partners
  • Experience working in a managerial role and be able to empower your team to push back to partners and developing the juniors in the functions
  • Experience of Aderant would be hugely beneficial
