Revenue Manager

I am delighted to be partnering with my longstanding global law firm client, who are looking to hire a Revenue Manager for either their Brussels or Paris office. This role will oversee a revenue team of ten, spread across three European offices.

Day-to-day duties of the role:

  • Supporting Partners with updates on debt‑recovery progress and coordinating next steps for significantly overdue balances.
  • Preparing billing and collections forecasts and performing the first review of monthly unbilled time and aged receivables reports.
  • Training new members of the revenue function and providing ongoing development and coaching for the wider team.
  • Managing debt write‑off processes as required, securing the necessary approvals and ensuring all records are updated accurately.
  • Overseeing regular reviews of bill status, following up on outstanding items, and helping ensure timely invoice processing and payment.
  • Reviewing client billing arrangements and matter‑related data within MatterHub and Entity Manager to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Working closely with Partners to streamline bill preparation, review cycles, and submission timelines, including providing meaningful analysis and reporting.
  • Staying informed on VAT regulations and partnering with Accounting and Finance teams across jurisdictions to maintain compliance.
  • Supporting new client onboarding activities and handling client communication on a range of revenue‑related topics.
  • Escalating and managing coverage for the region's operational activities, including stepping in on billing or collections tasks when required and ensuring continuity during team absences.
  • Identifying and contributing to improvements in billing and collections processes, helping embed consistent best‑practice approaches.
  • Engaging in ad‑hoc initiatives, including system enhancements and revenue‑related project work.
  • Ensuring invoices sent to Partners, senior lawyers and clients meet required quality standards and monitoring the team's overall billing volume and timelines.

The right person will need experience in:

  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high‑performing teams, with a hands‑on leadership style and a strong history of mentoring individual contributors.
  • Experienced senior professional with more than 10 years' revenue management experience within legal finance, including at least five years managing people.
